SANDGATE FORESHORES PARK

Public BBQ

Sandgate Foreshores Park sits along Flinders Parade with direct views across Moreton Bay. The dual-use path runs along the beach and stays well-lit after dark, making it popular with evening joggers and dog walkers. The park has electric barbecues and picnic spots where you can watch planes taking off and landing at Brisbane Airport, ships moving in and out of the Port of Brisbane, and kite boarders on the water. There's a kids' playground and a camping area on site. The park is a regular spot for locals unwinding after work to catch the sunset and moonrise over the bay. Birdlife is active around the foreshore. The toilets are in poor condition and need attention. Recent cleanup work has been underway following damage from Cyclone Alfred.
